What to take
Walking shoes, sun hat, sunglasses, sun block, cameras, binoculars, light clothing and swimming costumes in summer and in winter warm clothing and jackets

Climate
Summer (October - March). Hot days, warm nights.
Temperatures 25 - 35 degrees centigrade.

Winter (April - August). Dry season: generally warm days, cool nights.
Temperatures 10 - 25 degrees centigrade.

Children
Children welcome 8 + .
Children 8 to under 12 pay 50% of adult rate if sharing with parents or adults.
Chilcren under 4 are not allowed on game drives. Baby sitting can be arranged.
 
Terms and Conditions
All rates quoted are per person sharing per night . 30 % single supplement.

GOURMET SAFARI COOKING CLASS

 

 

Thula Thula Private Game Reserve launches their much anticipated

Culinary Courses this winter at the Elephant Safari Lodge  

The reserve, which offers both luxury lodge and tented camp accommodation,

is revered as one of the KwaZulu Natal?s foremost gourmet destinations.

Their Culinary Courses have been designed by charismatic owner and
French trained chef, Francoise Malby-Anthony.
Francoise who hones her skills each year at the LeNôtre Culinary Institute in Paris ,
describes her cooking
as ?Franco-Zulu? inspired cuisine.
 
Her menu includes creative interpretations of traditional dishes
 
such as Seafood Bouillabaisse Creole and Oxtail bourguignon as well as sublime desserts,
 
including the lodge?s legendary handmade Nougat Glacé.
 
Under Francoise?s skilful guidance, course participants
will learn the techniques of a pro,
 
whilst immersed in the pristine African bushveld.
 
      

Price for a 2 hours cooking class : R 150 per person

Minimum 6 and maximum 10 participants

Single occupancy rates are available on request

The course can be adapted to suit vegetarians.
