Rediscover Nature in great style and true to the African safari camp of a past era at the Thula Thula luxury tented camp,
where the peaceful essence of the African bush can be heard and felt.
Exclusivity is assured with only 8 luxury tents, all with private viewing decks, mosquito nets, fans
and luxurious en suite bathroom with Victorian bath and outside shower in the luxury double tents.
The 2 family tents offer space, luxury and comfort for parents and children and the generous ensuite bathroom
has Victorian bath and open inside shower.
View wildlife while sipping a cocktail from the swimming pool bar or relax in your hammock overlooking the Enseleni river.
A buffet lunch is served around the outside thatched bar or by the swimming pool.
Dine under the stars in the boma for a traditional South African braai (barbecue)
or a pojkie (meat stew with vegetables cooked on the fire in a cast iron pot)
where you will share stories of the day's game viewing
or the legends of the bush with your hosts, our dedicated rangers and trackers.

2 family tents.:
2 3/4 beds for parents and 2 single beds, mosquito nets, teas and coffee, en suite bathroom with Victorian bath and shower, fan.
All beds equipped with electric blankets.

Facilities:
Central living area with bar, dining room, lounges, outside thatched bar, boma, swimming pool.
Activities:
A morning bush walk, an afternoon game drive.
Game drives and bush walks are conducted on the Thula Thula private game reserve by our professional rangers and trackers. Game viewing includes elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, giraffe, crocodile, hyena, wildebeest, kudu, nyala, zebra and many more, including exceptional birdlife.
Optional extra´s: Sangoma expeditions in the rural Zulu Village, Game drives in Hluluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve, Whale watching (June to October), Therapeutic spa massages.

Children welcome
Children 2 to 12 pay 50% of adult rate if sharing with parents or adults in the family tent or in standard luxury tent.
What to take:
Walking shoes, sun hat, sunglasses, sun block, cameras, binoculars, light clothing and swimming costumes in summer and in winter warm clothing and jackets. Malaria free area.
Climate:
Summer (September - March). Hot days, warm nights. Temperatures 25 - 35 degrees centigrade.
Winter (April - August). Dry season: generally warm days, cool nights.
Temperatures 10 - 25 degrees centigrade.

The weekend will include

Four yoga classes ( one hour each)

An inspiring vegetarian cooking class ( 2 hours) demonstrated by French trained chef and Thula Thula owner, Francoise Anthony,

an aromatherapy massage session (30min)

a guided walking safari ( 1hour) and a game drive ( 2h30 ) with Thula Thula experienced game rangers.

Hatha yoga offers great physical benefits.
It improves flexibility and muscle joint mobility; strengthens, tones, and builds muscles and corrects posture. It promotes focus and concentration and it can help the practitioner learn to relax tense muscles.
Hatha yoga can be done by people of all ages. It helps to develop balance, coordination, stretches, tones muscles and heals the body of any ills
We propose you to experience this ancient Indian tradition at Thula Thula private game reserve, in the serenity, peace and tranquility of the African bush.
Course participants will stay at the secluded and tranquil Tented Camp. Each of the luxury Bedouin style tents has a private viewing deck and a luxurious ensuite bathroom complete with Victorian bath.

DAILY PROGRAMME: DAY 1: Arrive at Thula Thula via transfer. Your first game drive at Thula Thula will begin at 16h00 for about 2 and half hours. A buffet dinner, African style will be served in the boma, under the African sky.
DAY 2: Morning bush walk at 07h00. Arrive back at tented camp for breakfast. Relax around the pool, lunch is served at 13h00 and at your leisure until the 16h00 game drive. After game drive dinner is served at 19h30 in the boma around the fire.
Day 3: Excursion to St. Lucia for the day; you will go to an Indian Ocean beach, then be served your picnic lunch on the St. Lucia Estuary Boat Cruise, where you will see Hippo and Croc. Return back from St. Lucia on time for the afternoon game drive and enjoy the evening in our game reserve.
Day 4: Wake up for the 07h00 bush walk. Arrive back for breakfast, and then Lunch is served at 13h00. After Lunch, you will be taken to the Zulu Village to meet with the Inyanga. Return back to Thula Thula for the afternoon game drive, and the evening dinner in the boma.
Day 5: Day at leisure (including bush walk and game drive ). Lunch at the Safari Lodge.
Day 6: Full day guided tour to Hluhluwe ? Umfolozi, where you have the chance of seeing the BIG 5. You will return to Thula Thula late afternoon and enjoy another superb dinner.
Day 7: Wake up for the bush walk, come back for breakfast. After breakfast prepare yourself for a full body aromatheraphy massage on your private veranda. Followed by lunch, the afternoon drive and a 4 course gourmet dinner at the Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Day at leisure.( including bush walk and game drive ). For lunch, the game rangers will take you into the game reserve and serve you a Champagne picnic in the bush.
Day 9: Today is your departure day. Bush walk followed by breakfast and transfer back to the airport. ALL RATES ABOVE DO NOT INCLUDE BAR EXPENSES.
